Ive got a couple acres just out side Apache junction and want to run some water line. Will a subsoiler work in that type soil ? I will be pulling with a B2910
30hp. I dont want to buy one and find out it wont work.
Thanks

Depends on how deep you have to go and if there are a lot of rocks.

Depends on the type of soil and depth. If the water line will be under a drive way or road, you should be at least 2' deep.

With that said 30 HP is a little on the weak side. Even with 45/50 HP with big rocks or roots it will just be strong enough.

If you have mostly hardpan and small or very few rocks you can probably do it but may have to take a couple of runs without the pipe before trying with.

If it were me, I would run 6-8" on the first run then 12-14" on the second run. At that point if you have no problems you should be able to pull the pipe on the next run down to 18". If you have problems pulling at these depths then you may need smaller increments and more runs but with the exception of large rocks or roots you should be able to do the job.
