I used the yellow "Insert Image" button and inserted this URL into the window that popped up.

What I was trying to do, was to grab a picture, which I did ,from PT's web site, and explode it to full screen, and use Imageshack to paste it in the post. I didn't know the screen shot would post every thing on the screen, but I guess screenshot means just that. The way I got the picture so big was by holding the Ctrl key while rolling the mouse. This procedure will shrink or expand what ever is on the screen. I will just have to practice more until I get it right.

Most of you know that the print screen key does not function as a print screen any more, it is a carry over from DOS. How ever it is still usable, how, I am not exactly sure. Does anyone know if this key saves the screen into the clipboard. I am using Win XP with IE 7. I like it OK, but is there something better, and reliable.

Yes, a Mac. Sorry, I could not resist :)

Actually Mac OS X lets you take a screen capture of the whole screen, just one window in the screen ,or the area you draw a box around.

Printscreen still works. But you either have to use a utility that lets you manage your clipboard (you can have about 8 or 10 different pictures in it at a time, perhaps more) so you can name it and save it -- or paste it into something that will accept a picture (like a Word doc).

I paste the screengrabs into a photo/graphic editing package, then resize it there, save it, and upload it.

I don't mind, but my thoughts are, that if the Mac was so good, there should be a lot of them out there. Most retail stores only have a small area for the Mac/Apple products. How ever, it could be that it is the better system, but people just don't realize that fact.

Part Market Share, part maintaining mystique. Having seen both sides of the coin I really feel it is a much better computer NOW. The past, and the future, remain questionable. But in the grand scheme of things the difference is so subtle that if you own a PC I say stay with it unless you are frustrated, but if you are new to computers buy a mac.

Apple is a smart company. one of the smartest in my opinion. You can buy an IPOD in vending machines but the computers are pretty much left to the stores. Go in there store and see how they make you think you are buying a ferrari. I know of no company that has manipulated its market quite so effectively.

Sorry, but this is not a viable argument.

Surely you can think of at least a few things that mobs of people, even the majority of people, have done that were truly foolish?

Shame on you JJ. People could say that about our Power Tracs. I've never used a Mac so don't really know.

I am not ashame of my statement. It's like who's got the best car. Most people don't care. Does anyone know for sure what the best cars is? if you know, could just anyone go out and buy one. It is usually for a select market. As far as Power-Tracs, only a few people want one, why, because it serves a certain need. I have been around a while, and I have gone through this best [ crap ], and it is only best until something else comes out with something better. If I thought the Mac could solve all my computer needs, and never hang up or fail, or just stop working. I would get one.

Back to an earlier post about foolish people passing or ignoring a good thing,
there are not to many good things in life that man has passed up . They just go on to big and better things. Those that like Macs, more power to them. I hope that it serves them well.

There are no perfect PC's, and no perfect Mac's they both will still fail because they are man made.

You all can let this Mac verses PC thing die, it will just go forever. Lets get back to the subject which is lift arms strength for Carl's benefit.

for xp, print screen captures whole screen, alt print screen captures active window, then you would paste into whatever you are using.

Mac is better but ubuntu is cheaper.:)
