I build my drive shed in 2014 and was going to go with a fancy floor but the year got too late.

I have had major oil leaks and floor damage from moving equipment and skids around. Plus, so much dirt gets tracked in there, sometimes I think, what's the point?

Can it be scratched? Can one really clean up oil so the stuff will stick?
you can use stainless steel plates for the floor, they won't scratch easily at all!..

Used the Armopoxy in several garages. It is a lot more durable than you would think. it does not like the plasma cutter so don't use it anywhere near where it is going to see hot metal splatter a lot. I like it because it was for my own shop and i worked for years in a dirty mess and just plain wanted clean shop. it makes shop much easier to clean. Key is the floor prep. Guys that do it for a living shot peen the floor. When we did it, getting oil stains up is a must. We washed it and scrubbed to death. Then etched it, needs ruff surface to bond too. Neutralized the acid with baking soda(becareful) rinsed it to death. Then you have to make sure it is really dry. That right there takes the longest. You can actually walk on the Armorpoxy 24 hours after putting it down. We have one floor completely smooth and another with fine sand in it. I do not like the floor with the fine sand to hard to clean. The smooth floor is wonderful. It really is not that slipper when wet. As for cracks caulk them and put the Armopoxy right over the caulk. worked great for us. not cheap, glad I did it.
when I pull the loader with chains on in, I use old snow mobile tracks. Tried just about everything else they seem to work best.

Totally agree about the prep, that takes the longest and is the hardest part of the job.

Does this stuff run on a sloped floor? Looks like it is thick when it goes on?

Would it work on a steel trowel finish? I just about wiped out twice today alone! Would it help that?

It’s somewhat thick, you apply the epoxy itself with a squeegee, just pour the mix out on the floor and spread. If you think your floor is nice and slick troweled this stuff with out anti slip is like ice, but that’s what I was looking for, a lot easier to clean up spills and such.

When we first did our shop floor we used squeegee. years latter when we touched it up we used wide roller. Didn't cost much to touch up. Once again prep took the longest.
