Indeed, the FEL will lift the CUT high enough to roll the mower into place, but I rather mow the lawn without the FEL as it's a lot more to check up on as I wind about the house and deck. Sure enough, the other day while backing up in a tight corner, I forgot about the FEL for a second, just enough to snap a balcony post like a twig... sob. I'll stick with the hydraulic car jack. Besides, it's a pain to install the front mower support when the FEL is on.
As for the lazy susan PDe, it's really not a diificult job. If you remove the seat you'll see there are four bolts that hold the sliding mechanism together. Remove these. All you need do is make two identical steel plates with the same four holes, but cut the plate so the holes are as tight as possible in the corners because the PTO selector and seat belt supports leave little room to spin. I suggest 1/8" steel minimum, painted of course. Get a beefy lazy susan; most of the flexing is here. You'll also have to flip upside down and bend down the latching lever to clear the plate. The whole contraption will raise you about an inch. At 6'3" it did not bother me one iota. Added bonus is that it's even easier to get in and out of the 2210; you can rotate the seat 30 or so degrees to the side you're getting on and off to/from. You'll still need to slide the seat a few notches forward to spin it back and then slide it back again. I have actually managed to spin it while seated, although it looks ungainly with legs in the air like some spider. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I'd take more pics, but I'm off to Zurich next Tuesday. Once again, I have to leave my CUT alone... unused... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
