Arrived! 2210 Backhoe

If you don't mind me asking, what is included in the 7000$ ?

I was priced 7415$ for a 46 backhoe with Power Beyond, Tall Hoop, 16" bucket and everything installed by my JD dealer.

I was told it included the hoe , mounting hardware and bracket , standard bucket , Power Beyond , and ROPS kit . This quote was a verbal one when I asked for the price. Nothing in writting. I will start asking the questions on the woods hoe and find out the details on price and about customer install etc. Based on the work I will be using the hoe for , on the surface it appears a no brainer on the woods if the cost is that much less as described here and the performance so far is favorable. I provide any details I get in the event folks are interested ....

It would be interesting to see photos of the 46 and the Woods BH next to each other, or at least photos from the same angles like the photos being posted right now in the main buying thread.

At the very least, if I were looking at choosing between them, I'd want to see them next to each other or compare photos. There are likely to be a lot of subtle differences and maybe some not so subtle.

I haven't heard of anyone putting the woods hoe on a 4110 yet, though.

Due to a trip in early may to Tenerife, I won't be getting my Woods BH-6000 backhoe until mid may, so I'll report then. As for the seat, I spent 3 hours making two aluminum plates that raised the seat 1.25" with a lazy susan between them! I can now rotate the seat while seated on it, so I'm all ready for that backhoe, no need for an additional seat. Another bonus is that it's easier to get off/on the 2210; you spin to the left of right and pop off!
At 6'3" it works well for me, but shorter folks might not want to do this as the pedals will be farther. I'll have pictures one day. I'm too busy designed a utility shed to house the 2210 and all it's attachments! There is no end to this spending.

Just curious, but I'm confused; Tenerife is in the Canary Islands, right? But then you say you're going to Europe. Is there another Tenerife I'm unaware of? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Tenerife is the largest of seven of the Canary island chain off the southern coast of Morocco, and most famous for two B747s that met their demise in the 70s. It belongs to Spain and has special status as a low taxed economical zone of the European Union. I find it strange to tell people I'm off to Europe when it's 3 hours from Spain! Anyway, I can't complain! but it isn't the best place for a 2210.

Back from 14 days of continual sun to rain rain rain in the North East (Montreal).

Went to pick up my BH6000 Woods backhoe only to take my certified check back, disgusted. The dealer must have mis-understood what a sub-frame is because the seat, sub-frame, instructions and 2210 hydraulic connections were missing. More waiting.

On other issue, my self-made rotating seat has another plus. Since its aluminum, it leads to a softer ride!

More news when I get the hoe.
