No... my concern is your over the top political signature line. The fact you don't worry about an offense or transgression sure say's a lot about your classless attitude. If the system moderators are cool with this type of political statements in a signature line, I can't wait to compose mine.

LoL...WE would would expect nothing less than spectacular, over the top classlessness from you and your ilk...

I can't answer that question because I don't know nor do I care about the political leanings of the doctor who I hope will treat me... and that's who I am going to call.

No one in this thread would care.

I just wanted a bite to eat for the ride home.
The clerk was hacking and coughing, ...

Probable get fired if she stayed home sick for a few days.

Bruce

She wasn't sick, if you read my post. She had a popcorn kernel caught in her mouth and was digging around in it with her fingers, then went back to her job running cash register and working in the deli.

My friend had a cashier call her to the register for assistance.

A customer's change was $11 and there were no tens in her drawer.

I love the local Tim Horton's. I always go in and get a coffee and two stale doughnuts and give them a 10 spot and I always get 10 back in change. never fails. Always stop there for my free coffee and stale doughnuts.

How many people here actually count their change to make sure that they get the right amount? I confess that I"ve gotten out of the habit, especially in the last few years as I've also gotten into the bad habit of paying for more things with credit cards. Last summer I was buying an item in the local grocery store and it rang up 60 cents too high. The clerk insisted that it was the bottle deposit, even though that was listed directly below the price. The other clerk went off doing other things so as I tried to get it straightened out she kept jumping to the other register for other customers. After about 15 minutes I realized I wasn't going to get my sixty cents back and gave up. (This is one of those small mom and pop grocery stores which people lament the loss of, the owners had gone home for the weekend and they didn't have a manager.)

A couple of weeks later I had made a purchase from the same clerk, and realized 2 miles down the road that she had given me back $10 too much. It was tough to turn around and go back, and it completely went against my upbringing to cut into the front of the line to give her the money back. I was tempted to give her $9.40, but it wasn't worth the hassle. I can easily say that I've returned thousands of dollars above what people were supposed to give me; one time it was over $700, and at least twice it was $100 or more.
Yet when they give me back too little, correcting it is like pulling teeth.

Not me. One time I filled my diesel pickup truck and gave the clerk a 50 and a C Note (I filled my bed tank as well )and he gave me back a 50 for change, was $140.00 total. I didn't say a word, walked out and thought to myself, 'when you close out you are in for a surprise. If you are that stupid, you deserve to come up short.

The checkers who handle food stuffs and lick their fingers to get the bag open worry me. Then, there's the claim that human fecies is found on the push bars of grocery carts. I really hope that one is wrong.

Several years back I found $74 neatly folded laying on the ground beside a gas pump. I took it in the store and gave it to the manager. She said she'd hang onto it to see if anyone came back asking about it. After a week or so I was in the store one morning. She told me nobody ever claimed it so she gave it back to me.

I was wondering where I lost it! (You knew that somebody was going to say that. ;))

My wife's elderly aunt stayed with us for the month of January as she lives in Greece and was here on vacation. I never witnessed her washing her hands, but constantly saw her picking her nose. And my wife pleaded with her to shower at least a couple of times.

My wife spent the entire month trying to keep her aunt from "helping" with the cooking...

Makes you wonder how she or anyone in your family ever became "elderly" doesn't it?
And yet...... here she was, healthy as can be while you suffer from who knows what.
