That's a crock. I would expect it to blow snow. You may have to do it more often to keep it from getting so deep, but it should work.

We had about 6" of snow, followed by an inch of rain, followed by more snow. This all froze into about 4" of solid ice. The plows can't get it off, we used $60,000 track loaders to clear our driveways and its still leaving a layer thats not comming up. People are out with digging irons and picks to clear the drives becuase anything plastic just breaks. Its about equilivant to trying to blow concrete with a snow blower.

I started a new post with the topic being the "47 blower problem possibly solved" I have pics and a good video of what it's doing. Please check it out.

Mine is quiter when its raised. I don't think that would bother me as much. When I put mine in float it when all **** breaks loose. It's supposed to warm up into the 40 next week around here so I will take it down to nuts and bolts again and see what I see. I called my dealer and they are asking for help from DTAC. I hope to hear something early next week. Now I'm considering just upgrading to the 2520 with a blade. The blade is always quiet and I don't have snow blowing in my face when the wind changes. I really only need the blow once a year. We just don't gett the big snow storms anymore. I would be really mad if I have lots of snow comming down and changing pins every 15 minutes. My mother uses a POS cub cadet walk behind and it doesn't rattle and shake. I feel like a fool for spending good money to get something inferior.

Did you buy this blower new? If so, the dealer should be stepping up to take care of things. As I've written before, my 47SB on my 2305 does make some noise, but not like yours. It does not break shearpins unless I hit something.

We don't get snow like we did a few years back either, but the weather is cyclical. For my uses, a snowblower is the only option - I just don't have the room on the sidewalks that I clear to push the snow.

It sounds like JD is stepping up, maybe not as fast as we would all like. It'll be interesting to see what the root cause is.

Good luck!

Scott

The noise you hear when raised is the u-joints rattling because they are at too sharp an angle. You should have an upstop to stop this. It came with the blower

The noise happens when the blower is in float. When I put it up the whole way it is quiet. My dealer spoke to DTAC and then are going to tear apart the auger and look for anything out of normal. I have it in pieces right now and they said they would put it all back together for me. I will keep you posted.
