I'm new to posting on this site even though I have been on it several times doing research for different things. I'm shopping for a tractor right now and am looking for anyone who has experience with the MF 4609, NH T4.75, Mahindra mpower 85, Kioti PX9020 or the McCormick x4.60. If you have any knowledge of them or know of any particular issues with any, I would appreciate the comments. I'll be getting the cab version of whichever one I choose. There's a dealer for each one close enough to me and I haven't heard anything bad about any of the dealers to rule them out. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

My only advice is to lay out a spreadsheet and compare everything. Pump flows, weight, 3pt lift capacities, even the tires. Th at should give you a decent starting point. I can't help with any of those Models though.

Welcome to the forum btw!

What he said, I did a spreadsheet and it pointed out some obvious things.

The X4.60 is the same I think, as the Kioti DK60, which is regarded as a very solid tractor. The PX is brand new, and I haven't heard anything about it. I actually just looked over a T4.75 OOS (I was at the NH dealer for something else) and was very impressed with the layout and finish and features on it. Can't help you on the MF. BUT, you have a 30HP range you're looking at, you should probably narrow that down before going any further.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just got done putting the info on paper. I ruled out the T4.75 and and looking at the T4.95 instead. Seems like the ones I'm considering are all relatively new and there hasn't been enough time to know if any have major issues or not. There's things I like and dislike about each one. I'm just hoping there are some people on here with some cab time who could give feedback.

Great to hear! Have you sat on each tractor yet? If the specs are the same and the dealers are good to deal with, I'd go take some rest drives, that may rule out another one or two until you get some more info. Also, are you getting a loader? Are you going to be using any electronics for your equipment? Are adjustable stance widths for the tires a requirement? Generally wider is better unless row cropping or a tight gate restricts you.

RedNeckRacin gave some good advice. Once you get passed the basic requirements (like size, quality and service availability), you need to consider the details. It's features and comfort that will be your next focus down the road. Keep in mind that a machine that is not comfortable to use or if its one that doesn't have the features you need/want, the tractor will not become your friend.

I took delivery of a NH T4.95 CAB w/ 665 FEL in late January of this year. I have less than 30 hrs. on it so it is still to early to give a thumbs up or down. Here are a few of the likes: (1)great loader visibility due to the sloping hood, radiused front upper glass and sun roof; (2)power shuttle lever has the neutral button on the end - love it!; (3)overall cab lay-out of controls is very good to my liking - instrument cluster tilts with the steering wheel which makes it much easier to see;(4) engine is "torquey", easy on fuel and makes 540 PTO speed at 1900 rpm;(5) mine is a "Y" series serial # which means it has the pull-up parking break lever to the left of the seat and the electro-hydraulic differential lock like a NHT5 series. The only problem thus far was the gear shift linkage needed adjustment. My advice is to spend some seat time in all of them more than once and it will begin to come clear which one you like the best. There is no perfect tractor nor any brand that is trouble free. Good luck!
