I have a 6 month old Woods HC72C cutter and I just sheared my second driveline bolt. First time, no problem. This time, the driveline has slipped off the input shaft and I can't get it back on. It seems to stop dry about a quarter of an inch from the end of the shaft. Do I just ream out the inside of the driveline until the shaft fits, or is there a trick I need to know?

Is it dirt or rusty?? Also could have gotten a ding or but on it when it came off the second time. Peice of emery cloth should do the trick.

Nope. No dirt or rust. Still has original grease on it. I don't feel any burrs or nicks. I'll try the emery cloth. Thanks.

Anybody know the trick to removing the drive shield on a Woods cutter? I need to work on the driveline.

Push in the little plastic grease fitting thingy with a screwdriver and remove it, then spin the shield & slide it off?
That's how I release the shield on mine .
