I was just thinking it would be interesting to know what unusual uses people use their attachments for. I would like to restrict this to safe uses, but I can't.

One good one was clamping a saw horse upside down to the forks and then putting a board on the now top of the saw horse legs. Shingles were then lifted to the roof of a building under construction.
What uses have you found?
Oh, the 4 in 1 bucket is good at moving a pile of leaves backwards if opened up.

I windrow leaves with a leaf blower in perpendicular rows to the woods. Then I use the PT425 and snowplow to push down the length of the windrows to move massive amounts of leaves into a big pile in the woods, where they rot for next year's mulch.

I use the forks to dig out bushes and rocks and to stir the leaf pile every few weeks.

I use the large material bucket to take a bath in on Saturday night.

O.K., that one's not true... it's Friday night. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Moss, thanks for the reply.
I can see that you are really into your Power-Trac. I hope you remember to power wash the bucket after taking a bath.

This summer I used the bucket to lift a corner of my sagging deck back to "level" while new supports were put in place....unfortunately I only have the small bucket so I took my bath in the house. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Moss is always asking for pictures, but I think we can skip one of his bath. Actaully you could hold the bucket over a fire and heat the water. Maybe this is a good idea.

Any other unusual uses?

That's probably a very good idea. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I've used mine as a replacement tie-out stake for the dog's runner. A lot more expensive then the $10 pet store model but is easier to remove when done. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I've also used it to remove a broken bulb from my utility trailer, although the wife swears it wasn't broken before I removed it. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Actually it removed the lens cover and the bulb it one quick swoop. A lot quicker then twisting those pesky screws out.

I used the forks to "jack up" my tandem jet ski trailer to change the tires/wheels.

Probably shouldn't tell you all the things I use BobRips attachments for when I borrow them. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Clint, 10 minutes with the backhoe and one of the teeth is bent. How did you do that?
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
I am very thankful to Tractorbynet and Power Trac.
Oh, my wife and daughters too.
Take care, but not all of it.

PT425

4n1 bucket - with platform insert I move appliances such as a refrigerator, strap on trash receptacle to where I'm working on the yard, etc. I also have used the platform for a termporary work table after setting the bucket on a wooden box. I strap my FIMCO spayer and battery in the bucket for spraying. I haven't used my wheelbarrow since I got the PT425 and bucket.

Hitch adapter - straighten up swing set; put my 8' beam boat in and out of my 9' garage door; straightened out both ends of my step bumper on my pickup that were bent up and in.

No attachment - pulled two large corner posts 3' out of the ground by raising the rear end a couple of inches and working the post back an forth. It came out a few inches at a time. Experienced tractor owner bystanders were amazed it could do it.

Mini Hoe - Worked up ground to the depth of the bucket for four tomato plants and a 6'x10' flower bed. Much slower than tiller but worked up the ground much deeper. The tomatoes were 7' tall with lots of tomatoes!
