Mid-Mount Mower attaching mid mount mower

i have had my mmm off all winter and now i want to re-attach it . i can't get the attachment arms to lower. does the three point hitch need to be removed for the mower deck arms to operate? i am a complete rookie at this so please use small words.

You didn't mention what brand of tractor you have, so the question may be hard to answer precisely.

Is the lift mechanism pinned up ?

I have a B2620. Sometimes the arms are just tight up there and a bit of a boot make them drop. That is assuming the height adjuster is adjusted to the bottom top level not the top.

got it done! only took about 10 minutes.the deflector plate for the hydraulic cooling fan was not in the way. i worked the 3 point hitch up and down a few times then gave the mower lift arms a good boot and they dropped all the way down. after that it was cake. thanks for the help.
