Attaching PTO

I am so glad to read this post. I HATE the collar thingee and it's so difficult to get on. Good tips here. I find I have to take the PTO shaft apart, attach one half to the implement, and then pull the collar back while whacking the other half onto the tractor with a wood mallet and then I back the tractor half of the shaft into the other half that is already on the implement. It sucks.

Good to know I'm not alone.
