Attachment Compromise Breaking New Ground

As much as I'd like to own the "right" tool for the job, I find I have to settle for the "closest" tool often with attachments. When I got the tractor I was told the tiller would be all you need for a plot. I quickly found that with the rocks and weed matt/roots that this was sort of true at least when it comes to the breaking ground. Maintenance is a breeze. I did tack my ripper teeth on first as they seem to pull off easily.

I tried something new this weekend and used the box blade rippers first. They pulled up most of the problem rocks and the blade scraped much of the top matte and roots. After prepping I tilled and didn't have to spend hours cutting and pulling vines and poison ivy out of the blades. I still found a fair amount of rocks, but that seems like a problem I'll have no matter what.

I wish I had a field cultivator / chisel plow, but with some extra time this method worked.

If I going to cultivate a plot, I first rip it with the scarifiers on either the LPGS or ROBB. Then the disk harrow.
