What do those 500 series Avant's & their attachments cost?

Are they worse than Ventracs?

Thanks

I talked to my local dealer and they are pretty expensive. The Avant (Gehl) 20 HP was 18,200. I assume that was discounted. As I remember, it was about $35,000 for the unit, a tiller, mini-hoe, snowblower, 4 in 1 bucket, and dozer blade. He didn't have a price on the mower. Really nice machines, but far out of my budget.

From what I can see from the Web, the Avant is really designed as a loader alternative to a skid steer. It is too narrow at 40" for some of the field, lawn and trail work that most users want from a PT. From what I can see they do not have mower options available and it would have to be adapted from another source. They do have the diesel engine and 95.5" to the hinge pin but I guess that can be expected with a loader.
The one that interests me is the Multione. It has diesel and a wider stance than the Avant and offers even more attachments than the PT. There is only one dealer in the US but the machine in popular in Europe and Australia. Don't have any prices yet but sent enquiry to the dealer and will provide more when I hear from them.

I got a price today on the Multione Sl 30HP Diesel.

Just to keep things on topic in a PT forum, some impressions:

Lift capacity of a SL to a 1430, SL is almost twice as much
Stability, 1430 is wider and has a lower CG, so probably more stable on slopes
Number of attachments, Multione has this down with over 50.
Cost, PT - $15k, Multione SL - $26k
Articulation, same
Oscolation, PT - Yes, SL, No, (only in the GT series @ 35k)
Speed, Multione by a good margin
Lift height, Not even close, Multione with the telescoping option
4wd, PT - 4 independant motors tied to 2 circuits? Multione, same but individual circuits and the ability to lock into full time 4wd.
Controls PT foot and levers, Multione, foot and joystick with buttons
Cool factor, Multione get the bling award with a very cool looking design.

All in all, I think I am prety happy with my PT and the extra cash.

Same reason that I drive a Jeep instead of a Volvo.

Hi guys,

This is the most fascinating set of attachments I have seen in a while. I wonder what the prices are, and whether they can be easily adapted to the PT425?

Does anyone have an educated guess?

Sincerely,

MR: They are typically more expensive, $3200 for the 60" deck, 700 for the bucket (not bad)...

THey are also pretty heavy duty though. I would compare them more to the 14XX series attachments in weight.

Jim!

I love my PT and its attachments a whole darn lot. That said, the "command module" on the MultiOne is really 'da bomb'

I thought the same... Would be nice if that panel was hinged at the front like a cab door. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

<font color="red"> That's no good!! I usually get in my Magnum by getting in on the passenger's side, then climbing over the tunnel into the driver's seat! I hate to walk all the way around to use the driver's door!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

PS: Did you notice that their mower has full swiveling support wheels, front and rear, for the deck!!??!! The fixed rear wheels on my PT Brush Cutter never seemed quite right to me. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Mower
