When I clicked on this post, I had one of my "long" waits; 6.811 seconds.

Muhammad,
Is double posting one of the problems that have cropped up. I have doubled up twice today. I caught it both times and deleted one of them.

It's not going to be the same each and every time. If you get 23 seconds EACH time, there might indeed be something unusual. But more likely is that you have a time of 23, a few quicker ones, then maybe a long wait.

Always go by what our server says the time took down on the bottom. This can be quite some time, but that's what we're working on.

We're in the home stretch now. No more than 7 days, likely much sooner, until we switch to the new setup.

28.8 seems the same to me. I'm still happy! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I checked my IP speed this evening and here are the results:
Speed
4.2 megabits per second

Communications 4.2 megabits per second
Storage 516.2 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 2 seconds
Subjective rating Awesome

I then did a refresh of the site and it was very quick. I don't know how to post the results, but it was very quick....

I'm still having some problems reaching TBN! When I use Netscape 7.1 (my preferred browser with all my bookmarks) I get a message "URL not found on this server". I pinged TBN and found the NEW address was present.

I just happenned to try on a version of Internet Explorer that I rarely use and it connected with no problem.

Why would I connect on only one of the browsers? I'd prefer to use Netscape, can anyone offer any explanation or advice?

Thanks,

John /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm getting 20-30 seconds about 25 percent of the time with DSL.

By the way, my phone line is buried under that mess in my front yard. Do water-logged phone lines slow anything down? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It is probably related to the cache. Web sights are stored and do not change when they should sometimes. Just like Junkman getting better results in speed on the second test. The score is not real because some off the testing took place local to his machine. You could clear your cache or type the new IP address in instead of the web address for a while.
