Nice job on the straight rows!!! It took me a while to get mine that straight. The soil looks nice also for your tractor and plow setup. I dont know how well it would work in my soils. Very wet and rocky.
Oh yea I want that plow:D

Here a a couple of pictures of the field I plowed and rototilled this spring and planted sweet corn on. I ran a 2-bottom 12in. ferguson plow and a one pass with the 6ft KKII tiller. I thought it turned out nice. This is one of my best fields becuase it has very few rocks in it.
Did it all with my 43hp Montana with R4's.

Good Afternoon Eric,
That plot looks great !!! Super job, how did the sweetcorn come out ?

Thanks Scott. It turned out better than I expected. This was my first year planting such a big plot with a large 4-row planter. Only problem I had was that the 3rd row on the planter skipped alot which I knew because some of the fingers were missing in the planter. I dont know exactly what my yeild was as I lost track but I came out ahead. I sold out of everything way to early and my last field that I planted didnt come up very well because we had to much rain and the field didnt drain properly. This year I am doubling what I did last year and should still sell out.
I lucked out on the deer and raccoons not eating it all but they did get a little toward the end.

Farmingwithjunk, I have never had a set of bottom plows hooked to either tractor and only plows on the 27 hp has been one row cultivator. It handled it fine. It also has handled a single subsoiler that is of the true farm type very well at full depth. (not the light weight models sold at TSC and such)

My 68 hp is a work horse and it will work with my brother's about 75 hp MF and pull what it will. Have used his disk and chisel plows as fast and deep as he can. I pull a disk that is over 8 ft on front gangs and must be near 10 on rears and normally can run about 5 mph unless soil is heavy with moisture. Have that disk set at about 8 inches deep with 20 inch blades. It is a King with 24 blades with most 20 inch only the outside ones smaller to reduce the trench effect. Try to keep bearing housings out the dirt. My guess is with the tires filled and front weight it will weight in the 7,000 to 7,500 range also. It handles a 3 pth boom mower well that requires that kind of weight.
