Auto throttle cable pinched.

When I bought my tractor, I could not get the auto throttle advance to work. I thought I was just not understanding how it worked. When engaged the hst pedal was stiff enough that you couldnt push it. I asked one of the mechanics at the dealer and he said its just a cable connected between the hst pedal and the fuel pump throttle arm. I crawled under the tractor and found the cable pinched between the loader arm frame where it connects to the side of engine trans. The bolt were also loose cause they were tightened against the cable. Anyway I loosened the bolts and removed the cable and retightened. Dealer will come and install new cable next week. Cant wait to try it out.

Guess the L3400/L2800 PTO isn't the only place Kubota is using that silly cable eh? Actually come to think of it, I believe that your GL also uses a cable mechanism to engage the PTO. Is this true?

Dont know, have not tried the pto yet. I dont have any implements that use it yet, maybe a brush hog someday. I just walked out and looked and near as I can tell without crawling under it its a cable. Oh well!!!

I would love to get a snowblower. My cabin is where I use the tractor the most and i originally bought it to move snow. My fourwheeler couldnt keep up this year, the snow just came down faster than I could get up there to plow. When a neighbor snowblowed this Feb. He did not know where edges were, then I ran out of places to plow to. Went down and bought my Kubota to scoop up and repile.

Got new cable installed today for the Auto Throttle Advance. I sure like the feature but seems that using that mode, I burn about a third more fuel than just setting the throttle at about 1700rpm's. Oh well its just fuel, right?
