1. Did anyone ever validate TimOB's parts list for this mod?

I want to do this mod this winter, while I have the PT in Mass and convert my couplings to male/female on all the Aux PTO implements I have (grapple bucket, minihoe, snow/dozer blade)

2. Has anyone found an aftemarket source for compatible male/female QCs, or should I just plan on replacing them all?

Kent, Try here. I believe Baileys.com has some of them.

So, the Faster's are compatible with the ones Tazewell uses?

I look at these like I look at air hose QCs -- I don't even know the correct names for the different types, I just know that you almost have to try them out to make sure they fit, because some certainly DO NOT...

I don't know for sure, but someone that owns a PT said that was what they had on their machine. I have purchased replacements that couple together from I believe Parker or Pioneer. I would take a male and female QC to your local hydraulic supply, and match things up, or switch over all QC's to whatever is at the local hydraulic supply.

Going by memory here: Any brand of ISO "B" connector should work. As far as I can tell, for this application, if it will connect, it will work.

According to McMaster, Parker 60 series or equivalent is interchangeable.

Thank you sir! Besides, I've had great experiences dealing with McMaster in the past...

I would be lost without McMaster. I won't bore everybody with the details, but I've never dealt with another supplier that works so hard at making my life easier.

I couldn't agree more. One thing that they don't mention is that they can and do special order items that are close, but not quite what they stock.

One of my ideal companies.

All the best,

Peter

Peter,

I didn't know that. One more item to add to the "Why I love McMaster" list.

They do have at least one weakness. My wife recently mentioned that she has several times received CA adhesives and RTV sealants that were past their expiration dates. That won't do for Mil-Spec, so her employer now sources those items from a specialty supplier.

Fortunately, I just need stuff that works, and it's really nice that it's nearly always here the next day, so I'll keep relying on them.
