Kubota M59
Hi all,

I am looking to purchase an M59 and need both front and rear auxiliary hydraulics, however there are not many units for sale with both that are a reasonable distance from me and at my target price. I have a few in my sights right now but they only have front or rear auxiliary, not both.

My question is, can you add auxiliary to the back if the tractor comes with front or vice versa? I spoke with a dealer who does Kubota service and they told me no, but I was hoping there was someone who has in fact done this. If not is there a particular reason it cannot be done?

Also, can someone tell me what the difference in is in the hydraulic system between an M59 that has no Aux, just 1 aux (front or back) and both (front AND back)? Is there a secondary pump? a difference in pump size etc?

Thanks,
Whizbang

I would think any dealer could add the options. Had the dealer install the 3rd valve function to the M59 loader about 2 years ago. I had bought the kit and was going to do it myself but the dealer offered off season deal to do the full service hydraulic maintenance cheaper than I could and install kit. Use 3rd function all the time with different grapples. 16gpm.

The rear remotes option is for 3. Sounded like a bargain if you need it. I have down sized and don’t need rear remotes. My M59 was sold as tractor loader and didn’t have the backhoe couplers. I added flat face hydraulic couplers to connect with a recent purchase of a backhoe.

Both options tap into the hydraulic system.

My M59 has 3 rear remotes when I bought it that I’ll probably never use. The purchase agreement was the dealer installed front hydraulics for the grapple. I don’t remember how much they were since I didn’t directly pay for them but I think it was $1300. Putting them on is a pretty big job too. I put a set on my L3240 that was a pretty big job. The service technician said it took most of the day to put the M59 one on.

Thank you both for the responses. Did you go to an actual Kubota Dealer? Because I have spoken to 2 different Kubota dealers in 2 different states and both told me there were no kits and it couldn't be done.

Smokeydog, can you tell me where you got the kit, brand, mfg anything?

Thanks.

I think the two dealers are feeding you misinformation.
I have the L48, the little brother to the M59.
I bought my L48 used, but from what I can tell, my 3rd function, diverter, hyd thumb, and 3 rear remotes are all aftermarket installations.
They may not have been installed by a Kubota dealer.

Yes a actual Kubota dealer put mine on and it’s a Kubota kit. There’s an aftermarket one available too.

Scroll down the link to find the wholegoods parts list for your M59. This is what the Kubota dealers use.

Yes I bought my 3rd valve kit at the Kubota dealer in Knoxville Tennessee. It comes with installation instructions. They installed it labor about $100. I was having other maintenance work done. Did the same for the B26.

Messicks customer service is awesome. Wholegood items go thru sales department, not parts.

Kubota dealers regularly make wholegood orders and if can wait you can piggyback and not pay shipping to the dealer. If you need it quick not so much.

I have had to help the local dealer by pointing out the part on my phone either wholegoods or Messicks parts diagrams to get what I need sometimes.

Maybe this. I’m not for sure. IMG_8018.JPGIMG_8019.JPG
