Backhoe Auxiliary Port

I'm not sure what is up with your threaded hole in the aux port. I just bought a couple of 3/8" NPT nipples to connect the quick couplers (they have female ends). The hole in the case just below and behind the aux port that I used for the return line like you suggested is the same size. They fit like a charm.

I goofed. When I went to TSC first time I was in a big hurry. I eyeballed the hose it looked like 3/8" but I actually bought 1/4" hose. I could have used a 3/8" to 1/4" to use my hose. The hose was not used so I returned it and bought a 3/8" to 3/8' Male by female swivel 90 and a 24" long 3/8" hose. I had the plug with me so 3/8" is the right one.

Now, I need me a hydraulically driven implement.. probably a log splitter.

I'll tell you what would be a perfect accessory for this application, other than a backhoe. A dump trailer! You could simply lift the control to the full up, the trailer tongue would raise, then slip it up into the top notch, and the bed would raise. After the load was dumped, lower the control and the bed would lower with gravity! You wouldn't need any further controls for it.

Cool:thumbsup: I like it. I see the ole noggin' churning:D:D just imagine the possibilities. You know I just might do something like that with my rear scoop. I do have a cylinder that need a complete seal overhaul. I can use to dump at full height... hmmm.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe if you just ran one pressure hose to a single acting cylinder, the fluid should return back into the aux port. No need for a return line on this application.

Yep, you're right. Good thing is a simple task for a return if needs be. Need gravity to bring the piston to it's normal position like in your great dump wagon/trailer idea.
