Sinkfarm, no reason to YELL, your point is understandable, but unfounded. To believe now that maintenance can only be performed by the dealer that sold the tractor is ridiculous. Many folks move from one area or state to another and bring their tractors with them. Are they now relagated to bringing the tractor back to the original dealer, NO. Any Kubota dealer will do and they would be foolish not to service it. If its under warranty, the dealer still is paid by Kubota Inc and if not under warranty, then its in their best interest to develop the relationship with that customer for future sales and services. I believe your fears not only to be unfounded, but also ones that insecure dealers around my area have developed. If you are a dealer and sunk your farm to develop it, get with it or fall behind. I will have no problem buying from a company like Carvers etc, and they are over 3000 miles away. Rat...

Congrads on the new tractor. Here is some of the information you are looking for from the L3710 owners manual:
- Tractor Weight 2990lbs (4WD HST with R4)
- Liquid weight per Rear tire (R4 17.5Lx24) ~500lb each.
- Optional Rear Wheel weights 185lb each.
- Optional Front end weights 275lbs max.
- LA681 loader 970lb + Standard bucket 247lb or + HD bucket 308lb.
- Woods Groundbreaker 9000 Backhoe w/sub frame and PTO Pump ~1400lb. It also comes in a 3PH version.

I highly recomend a sub frame BH. I use a Woods 9000 on a L4310 4wd HST and the backhoe clearly can stress the tractor. The Backhoe will lift the backend of the tractor off the ground with both tire filled with ~1000lbs of water/antifreeze. No other 3PH implement that I know of can routinely lift the rear of the tractor completely off the ground like a backhoe. You will eventually use this capability to lift the rear of the BH in to the air to 'hop' trenches.

The tractor with FEL should weigh roughly 4500#, i have an L3600GST (same only a year older than yours) with a Woods BH7500 backhoe & as long as you don't use the tractor like you are running a case 580 the 3PT hoe works great, just remember it is a compact tractor. I'm sure you will be very happy with your new toy ('er i mean piece of work equipment, LOL)
