Thanks. That's reporting. Why is nobody else reporting that? With eyewitness reports, THAT should have almost immediately, been the story.

From what I heard on TV, but has yet to be placed hardcopy somewhere (yet) the aircraft never got to cruising speed, maybe remained close to stall conditions speed-wise (MO and I am no pilot) or safe altitude (~500' reported). They reportedly turned right trying to return to base and never made it.

Unfortunately, the news media NEVER gets ANY aviation accident/incident story correct.
Many months from now, there will be an FAA/NTSB accident report released, and the media will misinterpret that also.

Just saw this on the NBC News tonight - CT Senator Richard Blumenthal is calling for immediate grounding of all WW-II planes. Sheesh!

What an idiot he is.

"The possibility of defects in the plane, improper maintenance or inept flying, clearly potentially cost lives here," Sen. Richard Blumenthal said. "These lives lost and injuries should have been preventable."

Insensitive and stupid comments by him.
Maybe someone can clue in this idiot that cars crash every minute. 2 new Boeing痴 just crashed. Helicopters crash. Ground everything !
