I see that larger Kubotas, and most all John Deere front-end loaders are attached to the main booms with a set up that allows the bucket to "articulate", if that is correct. My B7510 is held by the main pin to each boom, and then the cylinders come down to the top of the bucket. Nothing fancy. What it appears to me is that larger Kubotas and most all JD's, including the 2210's, have more hardware at the bucket-to-boom connection. This looks like it allows the bucket to be removed and forks installed instead? Does this allow more leverage when curling the bucket? Why is the B and BX Series so simple, and the JD's are not? I would naturally assume it is just a different design, but when the larger Botas have this design as the Deere's, I gotta think it is for some reason. What am I missing?

Are you perhaps talking about the self leveling buckets ? They have extra brackets to keep the bucket close to the same level as the arms are raised.

Yes, it could be. Please excuse my ignorance. I am not aware of this "self-leveling" thing, but I have noticed on some of the large front-end loaders on the jobsites that they have this "extra hardware" that seems to allow better control when forks are attached. I'll have to look to see if the JD 2210 and 4000 Series have the Self-Leveling Buckets. Thanks for the input. The quick-attach is something I am aware of, though, and that is not what I am thinking of.

The parallel linkage on the bucket tilt mechanism does not "self-level" the bucket. Its primary purpose is to create additional leverage/curl at the bucket and to keep the bucket cylinders further away from the bucket. With the bucket cylinders attached directly to the bucket, any spillage over the bucket, especially small stones can pinch between the bucket and the bucket cylinder rod and damage it. The parallel linkage takes the bucket cylinder rod out of play for the most part.
