when I disconnect the hose at the fuel filter coming from the fuel tank, should the fuel be flowing out or just dripping out? Mine has a slow drip and I'm wondering if that's the reason I can't the tractor started. It's starving for fuel. What would cause it to do this? I blew compressed air back into the tank through the hose and still low drip.

Fuel should be flowing from the tank line to the filter with the valve open. If the filter bowl is full of fuel it should run, but if its starved of fuel it will run but sputter. When I change the fuel filter I loosen the gland nut on the filter until the filter is full. These machines don't use a lot of fuel maybe .5 GPH so even a low flow it should run.

The tank could have gunk settled in the bottom, and if that's the case siphon or drain the fuel, clean /swab out the tank then add some diesel to clean out or flush with filter off.

A simple test is take a flexible wire like 14 thhn or a piece of string trimmer line and run it up into the tank from the filter you might be able to remove the blockage that way too.

Agree with Carl. Fuel should flow freely.

What is ambient temperature?

Summer formula fuel?

Algae?

So I took a trimmer line and tried pushing it up the hose and it didn’t seem to go that far. I had started taking the gas tank off and I decided to try a coat hanger before taking the dash apart. I pushed the hanger up and I encountered the obstruction. I pushed on it and lo and behold gas started flowing the way it should. Connected everything up and got the tractor running. It looks like it hasn’t ran for a very long time. Thanks all.

Excellent news, I usually don't suggest a rigid/sharp wire but you did the soft approach with trimmer line first, then hard wire - glad it worked and if you got the gunk out it should be fine for another few hundred hours. Just curious what do you do with your B1750 Tiller? Loader? Attach some pics too!

I just picked up this tractor few months back. It was labeled as a “project” and It was taken apart and left for a decade or so. I’m guessing it had a broken transmission piece in the shifter that they had taken apart to fix. They welded it but couldn’t figure out how to put it back together again so it just sat there. I’ve been putting together and got it to run for the first time today. I have the transmission together and hopefully the welded piece will stay together. It came with a loader and no other attachments. The worst part is they just threw all the parts in a box, bolts and all without labeling or bagging. I’ll post pictures when I take some. Thanks for the question.
