The B21 is a beast...much more suited to the abuse of rental fleets than the B26, it would seem. The B26 is just too nice.
I remember when Chevrolet built that forgettable, vanilla 4th gen version of the Malibu from 1997 to 2003. They moved on with a "new" Malibu in 2004 and simply rebadged the "old" Malibu as the "Chevrolet Classic" until 2006.
Point: Sometimes the newer version of something is GREAT. And sometimes, you want to buy something NEW, but not feel as bad about driving it into a pole. B26 to B21.
The B21 is just one of those designs you could build for another 50 years and folks would still buy it.

Hey guys. Speaking of the B21, I am looking to buy one. I live in Rochester, NY and would prefer to buy one out of state. I am going to build a new home and want to do the basement digging myself. I wanted to buy a used B21 from ebay buy my wife does not trust spending $15,000 on something I have not seen in person. Therefore, the next expensive option is to get a new one from a dealer out of state. One local dealer said that Kubota is not making the B21s anymore so he does not have one in stock. He does have a B26 but I think it might be too big. Is the B26 & B21 about the same physical size? I know it is stronger. Would it be about the same price as a B21? I found a new 2007 left-over in Georgia. But that is way too far to drive to save a thousand or so. I was also thinking of the new BX24 but I think that is too small for what I plan on doing with it. Please let me know your thoughts.
