Oil & Fuel B2150 not starting after fuel filter change

My B2150 would run fine for about 5-10 minutes, then lose power, RPMs would drop and the engine die. I changed the fuel filter and it ran well for about 10-15 minutes. Then it lost power, RPMs dropped and the engine quit. Now it won't start or fire at all.

Do I have air in the fuel system? What is the best procedure for purging air out of the lines/pump/injectors? Are there two filters on this model?

I have a B2150 also. I don't believe thare are 2 filters. Did you close the downstream valve befor opening the filter? After it stopped the second time, did you open up the filter to see if you had more crap in the filter? It sounds like your just slowly running dry and the filter may have plugged a second time or perhaps you just need a new filter as your is not letting enough fuel through to keep up with demand.

You could have trash in the tank and the filter is clogged again. Should be able to inspect it and find out.

At about 200 hours, my BX23 started running rough and lost power. Changed the filter and it was fine. Opened the filter and found it full of debris. My tractor does have a second filter between the fuel pump and the engine.

Disconnect the fuel line at the engine side of the filter and see if you get a reasonable flow. If not, you may want to drain the tank and start over with another filter.

Had it running like that after changing fuel line. Doesn't seem to bleed that easy,I disconnected the line at the pump and let fuel pour out till no bubbles and then bled the
fuel system in the normal way.Which on my model is a bleeder on fuel filter holder and then at the pump there is a bled valve.Careful you don't over work your starter.Good luck!
