Looking at a used b2150 with hst 4cyl. Because of its age (91)I am concerned that I may not be able to buy a fel for it as it does not have one. Also was wondering if anyone can share their thoughts about the tractor? Is it a good strong dependable unit, or should I stay away? It has 950hrs on it and comes with a front mount snoblower and cab with heat, and mmm.......but no loader. Price is $6500. I dont really want the blower, and I'm wondering if it will be hard to sell/trade towards a fel, or if it wont fit the newer tractors, and be a dead horse on the market? Thanks!

The B2150 is a good unit, if the unit has been taken care of and properly seviced it should give you years of dependable service.
It is not likely that you would be able to find a new Kubota loader to fit it,and in my area a used loader would be almost impossible to find, however Woods and other short line manufacturers buiuld loaders to fit it.
If your in area that getrs alot of snow I thnk the snowblower would be easy to sell. Not much need for a blower in my area normally, although could use one this morning.

The front blower was a very expensive new option. The downside is that the subframe is not compatible with the Kubota front loader, so it is kind of an either/or question. The price is quite fair if it is in decent condition, especially considering the cab, haven't seen many of those. I've had my B for several years, my neighbor routinely borrows it, becuase it outdigs his 75 HP big tractor loader! If you are looking for used, the Kubota LA350 or 351 loaders fit that model, and I have seen them occasionally. The only real peeve I have with mine is that I haven't got rear hydraulics, that has to be a custom job if you use the hydraulic output for a loader. There may be a way to tap into the rear end, a couple of us are trying to find time to experiment with that.
Good luck.

I had a gear model for 11 years and had no problems with the unit.
In fact it always amazed me at what it would do for its' size.
I would still have had it had I not have sold My other place and only have an acre now. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Mine was purchased in '91 as well.

Loaders are not a problem to get for them although to find a factory original would be tough at the time we did little with the Kubota. If you don't want to buy it for the 6500 I would be interested in it as blowers are the best snow removal tool we can get.

There you go, sell art the blower, me the cab and you can get an FEL for it. We would all benefit. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif On the serious side, look at the condition, you can't go wrong for the price if it is in good shape. I looked for 3 years and arrived at similar pricing if you allow for the options difference.
happy Holidays!
