The reason that it's so cheap in US dollars is because the Australian dollar is now so week against the Greenback... 4 months ago it was trading at around .97c to the dollar! It's lost about a third since then...

It's not all good for me Pushindirt as all the parts for our helicopter are sold in US dollars! - Anyway, I'm really looking forward to doin a bit of slashing and not worrying about the exchange rates!

I should be up & running with the tractor around the middle of Feb! I'll post pics of it performing it's duel roles for sure!

All the best for now...

PS - Kubota Australia are having a 10% price rise in February I believe.

Here's my new B2920 in the first of it's duel roles... I ended up buying the FEL also (but have removed the bucket while in this role)... I also bought the Nugget Slasher (Bush hog) & should be going down to the property in the next couple of weeks to give that whirl too!...

All the best for now & thanks to everyone for all your input. I'm sure I'll have more questions down the track!

Though I haven't confirmed it, it appears that the Kubota QC for the new B3200 LA504 loader will fit right on the smaller B2x20 series loaders. That would make it much easier for you to drop that bucket when you need to.

bluesky,

Those are some great pictures! Congrats on your new tractor purchase? Did you make the pintle attachment for the front of the 2920?

ChuckinNH,

I was looking into getting a bigger material bucket for my tractor (2920), my dealer said to just get the one from the 3200. Side by side the dimensions appear to be the same. The new bucket costs about $500.00. Not bad when you consider the cost of an aftermarket one.

Yes, I measured the Quick Hitch on a B3200 at the dealer's, and a B2620 like mine, and they appear to be the same dimensions. I was thinking about both a larger bucket for light materials, and the Kubota forks. I just haven't seen one attached to the other yet...... I saw a used 60" bucket at the dealers too, but then remembered that the older loaders were different...... good thought for a minute though. :D

No, I took it off my old MTD ride on mower - It's a beauty isn't it!

Bluesky, glad to see you have the new tractor. I was looking at the new mower/slasher you purchased and wondered if the majority of slashers in OZ ride on skids without a tail wheel? Here in the states the mowers normally run with a tail wheel in the rear and the lift arms support the front. It is always interesting to see the different designs used in different regions of the world.

I'm very new to all this but from what I have know so far, most of the slashers look like my one.

Mark
