have had tractor for a few months now, but today i notice when i got done moving some dirt and went to shut down could hardly move the throttle lever. shut down and lubed it and finally seemed to free up. then after dinner got on it to move more dirt and it was fine, till i wnt to shut it down, then very hard to move. lubed it again. seems better now.is it possible that it sticks when the tractor is hot? and frees up when i lube(tractor cooling down) or is that just coincidence. if it happens again, think i will disconnect linkage at injector arm and see if it is likage or in injector. any ideas? sorry about long post, but wanted to get all info to u as i see it. Frank,

The linkage on my b2400 has a hinge at the bottom of the vertical shaft. At the lower end of it, there is a point where the vertical shaft pivots. This location is where the horizontal shaft begins and moves toward the injector pump arm. The pivot is near the electrical fuse box. Clean the entire pivot area with a tooth brush and WD-40. Then lube it- I have used WD-40 with success.

My injector arm moves very easily.

I think this is pretty typical of newer Kubotas. My old B2150 never did this but when I got a B2910 it was as bad as yours. My L3010 stiffens up a little too but not near like the 2910 did.

There was a thread last year about this with a detailed fix if you try a search. Around August to to October if I remember right.

Try and use oil versus WD 40. I had the same problem on my B7100 and WD 40 didn't keep the hinge points lubed. Light duty oil did.

hey guys, used the tractor after work seemed much better, kept changing the rpm to see if it would stick. did not have a problem till i went to shut down, then only slight sticking at lower rpm setting. lubed it again. the machine is a 98 with only 68 hrs. when i bought it. so figure mabey , not being use very much it just got sticky. thanks for all the help and bob i will try the light oil. anybody else with any suggestions just jump right in. thanks frank.

Bob, I suspect that a lot of us use WD-40 for lots of things, including lubrication. And actually it's more of a solvent than a lubricant. It there's something "sticky" in there, the WD-40 is pretty good for cleaning it out, then the light oil as you say works better for keeping it lubricated.

BIRD AND BOB finally got around to spray the living heck out of throttle linkage, then shot oil up ther as best i could, very much improved, only slight problem at low end of throttle. will do it again when i get a chance. think the best course of action is to use it./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
