OK, tractor experts, I just did the 50 hour service on my 2410--what a mess. Two filters, o-rings, cleaned the strainer and of course I changed the engine oil and filter also and cleaned the air filter etc and greased everything everywhere. I notice in the manual on changing the hydro fluid there are 3 locations of drain outlets. Two rear case and one front case. I drained them all though not much seemed to come out of the front case drain.--- Does the front case refill from the fluid in the main rear case? I found no reference to any other fill points other than the rear inlet.--- I am not talking about the front axle--but--the front case. I found in the manual that it requires 3.3 gallons of fluid. I installed 3 gallons of Super UDT and now the fluid level on that stupid yellow dip stick appears high. Is this normal or should I drain some off--I have already operated the tractor thinking that it would drop--it did not---after the required several minute warm up per the manual to circulate the fluid and a drive about the place. Also, does Kubota install UDT or Super UDT in these things when they leave the factory? I used the Super UDT anyway. I could change fluids and oil on the BX without removing the MMM, not so with the B2410, the MMM must be removed unless you want a giant mess and not just a standard mess /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif .
So---3 gallons(?) of Super UDT, two transmission filters, two strainer o-rings, one engine oil filter, 4 quarts of Mobil 1--- a small fortune in the stuff and an ecological nightmare--what to do with 4 plus gallons of fluids! J

Tres,

I was told by a factory Rep that all B series tractors now get Super UDT at the factory. As far as what to do with the old oil, our local oil change places and some auto parts stores take it to recycle or burn for heat...at least they took mine when I changed my SuperUDT last time. as well as all of my engine oil.

The other stuff with the 2410, can't help you as I don't have one! /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

My B2400 took exactly the amount of oil that was described in the manual: 3.3 gallons. Believe it or not, there are more places from where you can drain oil.

If after using your tractor for about 20 minutes the oil level doesn't go down on the measuring stick, you might consider contacting your dealer for advice.

Yep, sounds about right. At least for my B2910 about the same experience as you have just stated. Didn't seem worth while to drain the front, maybe 1/2 a cup.

My dealer told me not to bother filling all the way up to the top mark on the stick, just about the 1/2 way point between low and high. He said it would blow that out?????
Don't know, its been setting at the same point for the last 50 hrs.

I took my oil to a local auto parts place that recycles. No problem, just put in gallon milk jugs.

What a mess. I also changed the radiator fluid also. This is often overlooked and should be changed regularly also.
