I purchased this B2601 used. The backhoe was on when I purchased it 6 months ago and I just got around to taking the backhoe off and installing the three point.

Are these stabilizer arms bent? When I looked at the machine before purchasing it, the previous owner had them off the tractor and in a box. I never even noticed it because they are bent so uniformly on both sides (and as a first time tractor owner, I didn't really know what I was looking at).

What the heck could the previous owner have done to bend these? That's some pretty thick steel!

Did those arm get caught under the orange brackets for the hoe? Your second picture seems those brackets may have caught the arms? Jon

Here's a link to a picture of the tractor showing the stabilizing arms - scroll about 1/2 way down.

You should be able to straighten them without much problem, or take to a welding shop where they'll have heat and a heavy vise.

Definitely bent, the paint is all cracked off. May have run in reverse with a box blade and crashed into something immovable.

I would take the stabilizers to a welding shop and have them apply heat before straightening. Welders straighten bent metal routinely.
(Ask me how I know.)

If you pound the steel cold you will not be satisfied with the result. Any ripple will reduce your range of adjustment.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see if I can find someone to straighten them out. Looks like a new set is about $90.

I think they've been heated and bent intentionally. Looks as though they did not line up with their end points unless they're bent.

Maybe other owner's of B2600s can supply some pics of theirs.

I dont think backing up into something is going to bend those arms in a vertical fashion and not destroy the 3pt lower arms.
