Second Kubota...no problems except for headlights which only seem to work when they want to. Not surprised the way they sit in the hood and are subjected to such high force when you drop the heavy hood in place.

Up until tonight. Tilling, full tank, good oil, soft soil.... then boom... dead. Nothing on the dash to tell me what might be wrong. Dash dead. Only light is for the preheater for the glow plug. Couldn't find the fuse panel. Manual is no help... completely innaccurate. Found one small fuse box to the right of the battery in front. One bad fuse in it, 5amp, no idea what it does. The labels on the panel don't match the manual's.

So, is this the only location for fuses? Where else might I check, and am I on the right track? The weather JUST got dry enough for us to till... (sigh) ...ain't that how it always goes?

You can look up the parts on Kubota (don't know the link) or Messicks.

And buy a Work Shop Manual.

I had the exact thing happen to my B2650 tonight. Was clearing some brush and it just quit. What I know so far is that the 5A Panel OPC fuse blew. I replaced it, and the tractor started right up. Hydraulics work fine. As soon as I depressed the treadle it died again. I put in neutral, replaced the fuse, depressed the pedal and it immediately died again with the same result a blown Panel OPC fuse.

Did you get yours fixed? Any one else see this before? Thanks!

I had 2 of these in the same week with a short in the neutral safety switch on the HST pedal. I replaced the switches in both of them and the problem went away.

After doing some troubleshooting and tying the plunger down on the HST pedal switch, I was able to get the tractor mobile again. I'll be replacing the switch this weekend. Hopefully that'l fix it for me as well. Thanks.

Well this has me interested, are the dealers claiming a recall on the switch? As my warranty will soon be up, seems like that should be covered if it's a common thing. Also could be a real pita! Leaving you stranded...

No there is no recall, these are the only 2 I've run across, they just happened to be in the same week.

Well, I had this same issue (identical) on my B3300SU. Blew 3 fuses in a week and it's been fine for the last 3-4 weeks. Don't know what the cause was but it was the 5 amp that blew.

Just an update: Replaced the switch and the tractor is operational again.

Glad you got it fixed. Thanks for posting the cure - this is helpful information for those who follow.

Add one more switch failure, 2013 B3350. Has anyone disassembled switch to fix or see what's going on?

I’m wondering if it might be worth having a spare switch, that is if they keep failing.

Judgement call. Here's the quick fix I used to get it running until the new switch arrives (we should get more snow this weekend and I'm spoiled by the front blower).

This is on a B3350 which no doubt is the same switch as the 2650.
I removed the switch from the bracket, letting it hang down, removed one of the mounting nuts. Determined that 1/2" male pipe thread will "start" into the removed nut. Used a PVC 1/2" threaded end cap that depressed the switch plunger and then threaded onto the switch male threads to stay firmly in place - good fix and easy too! Then I used some hook and loop tape to fasten the switch to a fabric sleeved nearby pipe. I needed to keep the metal parts of the switch insulated from tractor ground, as there is apparently an intermittent short in the switch that was grounding to tractor frame and blowing the 5 amp "Panel ECU" fuse. Tested fine.

I plan on taking apart the switch to find out why the internal contacts intermittently short to switch body/ground. And will report back.

Having the same issue in my B2650. Glad to find this solution.

Yes, common fault on the switch. I just left my "fix" in place, even though I have a new switch on the shelf. The switch is typical overkill and it's only job is to keep you from pushing on the go pedal while starting the tractor - oh, and of bringing everything to a halt, usually at the most inopportune time.

B2630 died in the field; OPC fuse blown. Replaced fuse and started right up. But it only lasted a couple minutes and fuse blew and tractor died. So followed everyone's advice to find the HST switch. It was hiding behind large wire harness. Pulled switch out and jumpered the female spade connectors. Back in operation again without idiot switch.

Ya know, if Kubota truly cared about its customers, they'd send out a letter to owners and recall this switch. Instead they leave it to wreck havoc on owner's schedules, time and money. But then they've alreade raked me over the orange coals having to fork over more than $3,500 for a new DPF filter at less than 800 hours.

Did you know kubota has extended the emissions warranty to 10 years? 2014 B3350 700 hrs, only one abnormal parked regen, but i have had 3 regens in approx 15 hrs, so i think problems ahead. love the tractor
