2017 Kubota B2650
I own a 2017 Kubota b2650. Been having problems with the neutral switch on the hydrostatic pedal. Tractor would not start until you jiggle the pedal about five times to vibrate the switch and then it would start. Figured I would live with it ‘til I could get it fixed this winter. First plowable snow was pushing a pile of snow over a bank with the three point blade went to move forward tractor died without a sputter. No dash display. Found blown fuse in fuse box next to battery. Replaced it! Had dash display and tractor started and ran fine.... until I tried to move it. Got about ten feet blew the fuse again. I ordered a new neutral switch. Hoping that’s the problem!

Looking forward to updates causing the problem.

I am inclined to think the OPC controller is bad absent chewed or rubbed wiring.

My hunch is that the HST pedal switch (14), or it's wiring, is shorted to ground.
I had an old Bolens G-14 that did the same thing.

Good chance. Tractor runs and there’s no short as long as he doesn’t push the pedal. The same pedal that hasn’t been working right to start.

Thanks for the replies guys! Gives me ideas of where to look. Much appreciated! Dealer said they have safety switches in stock thought I’d start there since the pedal switch was acting up to start with.

Dave, what did you find causing this? I'm experiencing the same problem now. I'm hoping a thread bump notifies you since you haven't logged in since you had the problem.

Following as well. My opc 5 amp fuse blows every time I try to move the tractor forwards or backwards. I'm thinking a bad neutral safety switch.

It is almost always the HST safety switch that has failed, shorted to ground.

I replaced the neutral safety switch on my tractor and it fixed the problem. It was not easy to do on my cabbed B2650, I’ll tell you that!
