What a dichotomy. Here's the story... I have 5 acres to do the "usual" business (driveway maintenance, grading, moving dirt, bush hog and eventually mowing a lawn). My trouble is in deciding on a new B2710 HST w/LA402 FEL, R4's for $15,650 OR used L3010 GST, w/LA481 FEL, AG tires, 48 hours for $14,500. Someone please help...

I was looking at the same thing and also threw in a JD-955 and JD4310. You would think the 955 was made out of gold it was so expensive-Used! Good luck getting anyone to move on price for either Deere.
As for the Kubotas, I also looked at B2710 and B2910.
I do not have first hand experience with the other Kubotas or the JD4310 but I do with the JD955 and it would have been excellent. Problem is that the 955 is 3 generations old and closer to the B2910 then the L3010. The L3010 is really much bigger then any of the other Kubotas.
I have a hill and have a pear orchard. I also plan to use the FEL for rock.
I was able to use the rebates and other incentives to (almost) justify the L3010. The only thing I miss on the L3010 is a cup holder and a tool bag, otherwise I strongly recommend this model.
I paid about $17400, R4s, HD Bucket, with a Land Pride mower deck, all new. I would do the same if I were you.

Jerzy, was this a New Jersey dealer? I'm looking for that exact problem! Did these quotes include tax, freight and delivery?

Talk to me!

That seems awful high on a used L3010. With the rebates, you could probably be in the same ball park for new.

I know because I am/was trying to sell my L3410.

Buster, thanks for the advice.

Doug, prices quoted were from Delaware. The price does not include delivery. For a few bucks I plan on renting a trailer and bringing her back myself.

It appears to me that the prices in the Northeast are a bit higher than some other areas of the country. Anyone else experience the same?

You from Jersey? I'm From Jersey!

I was pretty much set on the B2910 until I went to the dealership and saw the L3010. The L3010 is a much bigger machine, and the cost over that of the B2910 is not all that much. I went with the L3010 and I am glad I did. I had to move some dirt to fill some potholes on our driveway and I was definitly maxing out the loader power. I was kinda thinking maybe I should have gotten something more powerful. Anyway, one of the slight complaints I have about the bigger maching is the imprints it leaves when I mow. I have R4's and would recommend them.

In my case I had no real choice. I didn't have cash on hand and really had to buy new. Besides, around here there's about as much for sale as there is farm land left.
