B2710 vs B7800

I think you made a good choice, and I'm sure you will be very happy with the tractor. Glad we could help in some way. Bird's explanation was better than mine, but as long as you got the idea, that is what is important. Enjoy!

I like my B7800! My wheel barrow and shovel didn't have position control either:)

Thanks Chuck and Bird,

I think I understand it now. I've already committed to the 2710 and I think it will do just what I need. I'm very glad that I found this forum, I've learned a lot of things that I didn't know about the Kubota's. I don't think I'll be disappointed. I'll post pic's of it after the deal is done.
Thanks again all!

There's certainly nothing wrong with the B7800. In fact, it's bigger, and in my opinion, better than a B7100 which I also had and liked. I just liked the B2710 a little more.:D

Congratulations Bobby - I think you got a great deal with all those implements. That's a very nice package.

Enjoy!

Hi all-

For those who answered this question last year I'm seeking a bit of an update in the information - about a year's worth (although I realize fully that I won't get the deal that Bobby got).

I currently have a BX 2230 and would like to move up a little (more ground clearance, heavier frame, bit more power). I don't need a MMM; I currently have one with the 2230 but find hooking it up to be a PITA, so 3-point finish mower would be what I use.

I at first started thinking new 2920 (and got a price or two). May go that way if the financing and trade work out (or not). Then saw a used 7800 for a good price. This being said, the heavier/more featured 3PH and position valve of the 2910/2710 has appeal due to grading work (and snow plowing - don't get enough snow days to justify a blower - just get clobbered 1-2 times per winter). Hence, I found a used 2710 and started thinking about this.

Here's the main stats on the two potential used ones...

B7800 with FEL - 140 hours or so, 12500
B2710 with FEL - 265 hours or so, 10950

Both are 2006 models.

All else being equal, what do those who own/have owned one or both of these think?

Thanks.

Dave

I had a B7800 and it's a fine machine. I do prefer my current B3200 and for the prices your quoting your really near a new B3200 price. I have a RFM 6' Landpride for sell $950, paid $1800 for it. Used it on my B7800 for a couple of years and worked great on it.
