If you are still not satisfied with the fix, I think I would reply to the Kubota rep and tell them you are dissatisfied with the results, and you would like a new valve replacement.
You could also tell the that every Kubota rep in the country will get a copy of your message if nothing is done.
Just explain the situation fully, and include pictures, and tell them you will not accept it as is. Might work, just keep on them until something good happens.
If you can not fix it to your satisfaction, I would get a new joystick valve and use it until Kubota comes back with a final answer.
You don't want to scratch that bore or spool to much. Don't know which is harder.
