Hi Glen,
According to my dealer the "light duty" wording applied to the 60" bucket is a carry over from another Kubota loader. It's a larger loader used on a larger tractor and in that application the 60" bucket is "light duty" compared to the "heavy duty" bucket that comes standard with that loader. This was an issue for me when I was deciding which bucket to go with and my dealer researched this question before I bought. It was also his suggestion to go with the 60" because the price increase was very small, increased volume, width to cover tracks and identical constuction to the 54".
And again, I owned both buckets and can assure everyone that the construction and material thicknesses are identical. Kubota would be dong themselves and everyone else a favor if they'd edit this wording out of the B series literature. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Oh, and one other thing. The 60" bucket is not just 6" wider, it's also higher and deeper.
