I am looking to buy a used quick hitch/sub frame and snow blade for a B2910 that was on Ebay. The dealer tells me that you need a 4 position loader valve for this set-up. He says that the valve is marked with either a B2069 for a 3 position valve or B2079 for a 4 position valve.

The markings on my loader Valve say Husco International with no other markings that the indicate the B2069 or B2079 designation.

I can not determine what valve I have on my loader. Do any of you guys know how to determine a 3 or 4 position valve?

Thanks..
Jon

Hi Jon,

I just went out and looked at my B2910. If you look under the loader valve there is a plate that the valve mounts to. On the bottom of that plate is a sticker that says B2069, and also the serial number. I would have thought that with up and down, and curl and dump, it would be a 4 way valve. I guess that's what I get for thinking /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It's not a 3 or 4 position valve. It's a 3 or 4 WAY valve and it has to do with the valve's internal regenerative hydraulic circuitry. See this link for more information.

3-way vs 4-way

The B2069 is a three position valve, the B2079 is the four position valve on the LA402 loader. Hope this helps.

Hi Lewis,
I have a 2001 B2910 with the LA402 loader and it has the B2069 3-way valve. They may have changed to the 4 way valve since mine was made, I don't know for sure. The valves are not 3 position or 4 position, but rather 3 way or 4 way valves.
Hope this helps. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Kubota whole goods book calls the valves 3 position and 4 position valves. The 4 position valve used to be optional and since 06/03 has been upgraded to be included (standard) with the LA402 loader.

Kubota's translator used the wrong hydraulic terminology thus making it confusing to the average person.

If you walked into a hydraulic shop and asked for a 3 POSITION valve you would get one that literally had 3 positions, up/neutral/down. It may or may not be 4 WAY.

Ask for a 4 POSITION valve and you would probably get asked a few more questions as the sales guy tried to figure out what you wanted since a true 4 POSITION valve is probably 2 spools.

The Kubota loader valve is actually 2 internal spools, each is 3 POSITION, with one spool having a float, and either 3 or 4 WAY.
