kensfarm,

I'm not sure about the price of the chain guards...I paid $1,175 for the cutter with the slip clutch and chain guards included...

Re: B2910 + Woods 5\' Cutter = Happy Hogger!

Mikim,

I took a look and if you mean that cross piece that reinforces the area in front of the caster pivot it looks like it is correct...and on the top. If the bracket were reversed it would be a water catcher I expect...

Mike,

Rick answered your question, but I found it interesting that the same black thing is attached to the boom of my Rhino post hole digger...

Re: B2910 + Woods 5\' Cutter = Happy Hogger!

BrettW,

22 pto, 30 engine.

That puzzles me because the b2710 has 27 engine hp and 20 PTO. I never understood why when everyting else is the same, when you increase the engine hp by three, only two of those end up at the pto shaft...

I am not using it for heavy grass. Mostly just brush and thorn bushes and stuff like that on a couple acres. I really find the way the rear of the deck curves to a nice feature. I have a lot of trees that I have to deal with right now and that mower swings by them pretty nicely. MANY times I have thought if it had been square backed I would not have been able to get through like I did.

For my use this 5' cutter seems fine with 22 pto hp. I'm glad I bought it rather than a 4' unit.
