I looked over the B2x20 series and was slightly disappointed that the backhoe wasn't a little bigger. Does Woods have a similar compact backhoe option available for this model in the 70 or 80 series? 6.5 feet is just a little to shallow for what I wanted.

I've seen the Woods BH70x backhoe mounted on B7510/B7610's, and it works with the addition of front weights as my attachment shows. I would expect that Woods will have a subframe to fit the new B20 series before too long.

Just my opinion......... but i've seen a couple of the 75/7610s with the woods hoes / front weights, and they look foolish to me. I think having to add that kind of weight to keep the front wheels on the ground means your backhoe is too dang big !!

No offence to anyone who is running this setup.

Got to work on a couple of them with that hoe on. Seems to me the problem was keeping rear axle seals in! Thought it was from axle flex from the additional weight.

I think the Woods Bh70x hoe is a bit much for the B7x10 series too, and I attached a pic of the weights, so folks could see just how much counterweight is needed. It also looks like a pain to take those weights off to use the front quick hitch, etc. too. I am pleased that Kubota came out with the Bh65 for the new Bxx20 series. That is what I would choose in this size tractor. The digging power is the same as the JD 46 (surprising there huh?) though not as powerful as the Kioti 2465, but the Kioti is also a heavier tractor. After using a BX22, my opinion is that more digging power, or reach needs more tractor. I think the B7800, etc. is well matched to the Woods BH70x, and I'm not positive that I would put a BH80x on an L2800........ maybe.

I guess my real problem is that I am torn between the new 2x20 models and the 2015/2615 Mahindras. I like that large BH on those models but don't like the older style mounting....wherease the MMM on the 2x20 can be installed without removing subframe bolts from what I can see. The Kubota weighs less and FELs are too far off in specs between the models but the Kobota does have a more compact BH style. Hard decision...plus no pricing found on the 2x20 yet and no dealers have they with Bh and FEL on the lots around here.

sorry hit enter before proof reading...I meant to say the FELs are close in specs for the upgraded FEL on the 2x20 but I have not seen a complete TLB package on a lot yet. I assume the MMM can mount with the TLB setup but I am guessing...not that I would ever cut a lawn with a FEL and BH attached. I just don't want to have to wrench off a subframe mount for the BH to install the 54 or 60 inch MMM. You would think the designers would be paying more attention to these details (Mahindra!).

You don't say where you are from, but my local dealer (NH) has two B2620 TLB setups assembled, and on display. The backhoe subframe on the B2x20 series is compatible with both the loader, and the MMM. It seems to be a well integrated setup, and the swiveling seat works very well on the ones I have seen. Loader visibility isn't quite as good as the old one, but it is adequate. I looked at the Mahindra's too, and liked the loader operation, but didn't like the fact that the bucket was narrower than the rear of the tractor. The dealer that I talked to said that the installation of the mmm was somewhat time consuming, and not something you would want to do often. My preference for a TLB that I also wanted to use a mmm with would clearly be the Kubota, though the Mahindra does have much to offer as a TLB.

Can you give me the city in NH that has this setup?...I am in NY and may go to PA or NH this weekend (raining most of the weekend anyway) to look these over and make up my mine. I think you gave me locations for the Mahindra locations previously near the western border.

I need to trench 700 feet 7 feet down over the summer...then also do a little digging for some footings etc. After I am done this year or next, I really wanted to use the machine for cutting mainly, with very little digging from time to time. The Kubota 2x20 seems to fit the bill but I keep going back to those Mahindras. If the 2015 or 2615 fixed their MMM mounting situation with the BH subframe, I know what I would be buying right now.

I doubt the 2016 or newer series made any changes to the BH mounting. The Kubota definitely has their act together when it comes to BH mounting on their smaller tractor series.

Thanks

The dealer that has the two B2620 TLB's is Townline Equipment in Plainfield, NH. That is a small town just south of Lebanon, on Route 12A. They have a web site townlineequipment.com. I was there this afternoon actually, and both B2620 TLB's were there as well as a B2320 with fel. Plainfield is just over the NH border from VT. Taking I-91 to I-89, cross the river into NH, and take the first exit to 12A South maybe 5-10 miles to Townline on the right side of 12A.
