Hey guys, it's been a while for me but am getting settled again so have some time again for tbn! A few months ago I bought a king kutter pallet mover (2000 lb capacity). Intentions were to use it for moving my pallets of wood pellets (50 bags at 40 lbs per pallet) so I don't Have to handle them as many times and can make fewer trips when reloading my stockpile in the house. Anyway I knew the b3030 wouldn't lift the whole 2000 lb pallets but I thought I would be able to pick around 1600 to 1700 lbs with the 3 pt in which I would only have to remove 2 layers of the pallet to pick it. Unfortunately I have to remove half the pallet (5 layers) so I can pick it. I can remove 4 layers and pick it but barely it is at full throttle and it struggles to get it starting to lift, but once it gets it started it has no problem. So at most it is picking1200 lbs plus pallet and pallet mover so total about 1350 to 1400 lbs. Has anyone else used a pallet mover on their 3 point? What weight can you pick? Also if maxing out my 3 pt to pick the 6 layers on a pallet when it has a tuff time to get it started picking will doing this damage my 3 pt seals/ pump etc do you think? Thanks for any feedback.

i have the exact same problem, i have the newer version b3000, it to is limited so i still back the truck up to the walkout and unload. i love the cab so trading up is the only answer i have. good luck thx for your info!!! tony

do anything you can to get the load closer to the tractor. Remote 3pt quick hitch, pats ez, etc. Stack bags closer to the machine, etc.

For my B2920, the specs on the Kubota FEL is that it can lift approximately 1000 lbs at the bucket pins. The further you get ahead of that, the less it can lift. If your lifting 1200 lbs on a B3030 on pallet forks, then your probably at what the specs say it can lift.

I assume this is on the three point hitch, and not on the loader as mentioned in the prior post. The B3030 lift capacity is rated at 2139 pounds at the lift points and drops to 1676 pound two feet beyond that. Your King Kutter pallet mover has lift arms that are 44" long and it weighs 135 pounds empty. Distributing the weight across the pallet and subtracting the weight of the pallet mover, you are probably looking at somewhere around 1,000 pounds. I'm sure someone on here can calculate this, but just a guess...

On my B3030, I use the KK carry-all which is similar to the pallet mover but with shorter arms. It lifts 110 gallons of water with no problem with the load being as far forward as possible. The total weight being lifted I would estimate between 1000-1100 pounds. I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to lift too much more.

My B7800 will just barely lift a standard pallet with 3 tiers of dry mixed hard/softwood stacked 4' high (the maximum lift is shown in the photo), but it has no problem with 2 tiers on the same pallets. That's just too much weight cantilevered too far out from the lift point.

What hole is the toplink in on the tractor side?

And how does the pallet lift? Does it lift level? or does it tilt forward a little?

My thoughts exactly. I would venture a guess your number is pretty close too.

The 3PH does not work like a simple lever.

The 3PH is more of a parallelogram linkage. And thus, IF it were possible to set up as a TRUE parallelogram, there would be NO loss of lift capacity at ANY distance back.

But since it isnt a TRUE parallelogram (which the TL has to be the exact length and angle as the lower links) there is a little loss. But not like a simple lever.

Since there are multiple ways to set up the 3PH: TL length is adjustable, TL mount is adjustable, and on some, the lower links can be adjusted where the lift link hooks......

Result is the closer to parallel you can set it up, the more it will lift.

This means the HIGHTEST mount hole for the TL on the tractor side, Lowest mount hole for the TL on the implement side (if multiple holes are avaliable) an d lengthening the TL as much as possible.

And if there are multiple holes where the sidelinks hook to the lower arms, the ones farthest from the tractor.

This will result in the most capacity.
