Hello everyone, I am looking to make my first tractor purchase. I am considering a kubota 3030hdsc and I have received a price from my local dealer. Just wondering if it's a fair price. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Options included are loader, woods backhoe, winter upgrade package, 60" rotary broom. Price is $36,000. Is this a fair price? Also considering a 60"mmm. Also wondering if anyone has had any luck with a bagging kit and does this tractor give a nice finish cut for a lawn. Thanks for the help.

I can't speak about the price although unless you are in Canada it seems high. I do have a B3030 without the cab, with the 60" MMM. It does an amazing job of cutting. The one thing I don't like about the 60" MMM is the the two rear wheels that are close together in the back. They leave tracks that just don't look right on the cut lawn. I have solved that problem though by using chains to hold up the mower in the rear and raising the rear wheels all the way up so they do not touch the ground. The next step is to remove the wheels altogether as they are not needed and just get in the way when removing and installing the mower. I don't have any pictures yet of the chain system but, I am quite pleased with it and think it is a very simple and effective way to eliminate the tracks of the rear mower wheels. I also like the fact that the mower is now partially held up by the tractor instead of all of the weight being on the small wheels. I think when the ground is soft in the spring it will do a better job as the tractor will not allow the mower to cut into the soft ground. If the area you are going to mow is open enough you might want to consider the 72" MMM. It has a four corner wheel setup that I think will leave a better looking cut lawn. Otherwise, I love the 60" mower. It is amazing how fast I can travel and still do a fine job of mowing. Kubota definitely has their mowers figured out.

I posted for you in the JD thread but I checked the local B3030 cab price for you tonight and the tag said $25030 for cab B303 and Loader (not sure which one) here in Bloomington, IL.

Hope that helps you.

The local dealer near me had a sales sticker for just under $17000 for a cab model b3030. No loader or anything else. Looked like quite the machine. I did not check to see what features were on the cab at that price.

It is the Frederick Kubota dealer. They say they are the largest dealer in the state.

I'd also check out Messick's just across the border in PA. Good dealer and frequents this forum.

If your close to Frederick I'll put in a good word for them, they are good Guys. Of course if your north at all we would be more than willing to help you out as well.

I'm In Kingsville which is a little NorthEast of Baltimore. I'm closest to Hickory Intl or Balt. Turf ( Same Company). I used to deal a lot with the old Richardson's, now called Backyard Power. But since Richardson's was bought out by this new guy, this place has turned to the "Dark Side". Twice as expensive as any other dealer, extremely poor to non-existant customer service, and owner with a bad attitude.
Frederick is just as close as Woodbine to me. There used to be a gentleman by the name of "Mike" that I talked to once at Frederick Kubota. I can't find a web site for them.
I just recently compared a general service package from Hickory and Backyard power and Backyard power was $300 MORE than Hickory for the exact same service.
Exactly where is Messick Farm Eqpt?
Thanks for the info.

I've been drooling over the thought of a new B3030 with a Cab. I can still feel the snow blowing in my face when I used my 3PH thrower last year. And I hate cutting the grass in 90 degree heat with dust and dirt blowing on me. A cab would sure be nice.
Does anyone else think it's odd that they did not put work lights on the BACK of the Cab as well as the front ?
Seems everyone is adding some sort of rear worklight to their tractors and it should have been a no brainer to put light in the back.

36,000 is way too high. we will sell that tractor with all available cab option, front and rear work lights, rear wiper, radio mount with a cd player, engine block heater, the la403 with a four pos valve, the front rotary sweeper with the quick hitch and front pto drive for @$26,500.00. a woods backhoe for that unit should sell for no more than $7500 for a 7.5ft hoe. woods just came out with new backhoes that you can get a factory mounted mechanical thumb.

The rear lights & wiper are optional. I Can tell you this, as i now own one. The factory cab is worth the money, well worth it! Super quiet, heat & ac crank,am,fm,cd and once you get the seat suspension set right it rides sweet. Jumping from a 7500 to the 3030 was like going from an escort to a lincoln! B7500 owners don't take offence, that's a great tractor! My 7500 was the workhorse that made the cash to move up! Scott.

To all thanks for the replies. I really appreciate everyones help. I am Getting Close to Pulling the triger. What I have so far is ($22,800 for b3030hsd-c with a 403 fel, $4,265 for rotary broom with quick hitch, $9,699 for woods backhoe BH80-X with thumb). The back hoe seems to be the killer here, otherwise the pricing has been very competative from dealer to dealer here in Mass. I am also considering a snow blower, and midmount mower but I need to bag my grass and I here that is a problem on this machine putting a bagger on. I would appreciate any comments on the bagger. Thanks Everyone. I've been dreaming of Green but I'm Going ORANGE! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
