I didn't like position control lever stop knob on my B3030, so I whipped up a new one on my lathe. The original is difficult to get at.

I added a hard rubber/plastic washer under the knob to cushion the contact with the plastic frame assembly.

Works great and is easy to adjust now..

Attached is a before, after, and comparison of knobs..

That looks real good. I know what you mean about it being hard to turn. I put a couple of extra washers under mine. It helps, but could be better.

I know this will sound silly, but, you should patent that and market it. I'm guessing you could sell more of them than you would ever imagine!!!! I can see a box of them on the parts counter at the Kubota dealer!!! :)

I'll be the first customer!!! How much for one to fit my B2910???

Probably not being politically correct here (What's new) but, the little Japanese guys that designed the stock knob probably thought it worked pretty good. With our big American fingers it is not as easy get a hold of it and tighten it.

I was aware of commercial knobs that could be adapted.. But, what fun is that?)
Might be tough to find just the right knob with 6mm screw, etc..

I love using my shop equipment and, mine was designed around the application.. So it fits perfectly..

So in winter months when I can't get any seat time, I can get all the shop time I can squeeze in...

Thanks for heads up though..

Yes, that's what's fun about it...making your own "stuff". That's a nifty little handle you made custom...only 1 like it in the world now. Very nice job.
