B3200 engine shuts down

Just bought a B3200 HST. Has been running for a couple hours then just hear a click and shuts down - another click and it is good to restart. I order shop manual for it, but won't be able to get down to dealer for a week or so.

I'm guessing it is the motor stop solonoid. Anyone ever witness this type of random shutdown?

It is being caused by one of the safety switches telling the engine to shut down. The two most probably culprits are the seat switch and the switch on the HST pedal. The one on the HST pedal is problematic if the pedal isn't returning completely to the neutral position. There have been several threads on here lately about the problem, but basically you just have to lubricate all the linkages related to the HST pedal, especially the little plunger rod that engages the switch.

I have the same problem with a 2003 L3130-DT (manual transmission). It has run very well since purchased new. It stopped suddenly last week but would restart. Now it will restart but runs only at intervals between a few seconds and a couple of minutes. When it shuts down I hear a good deal of clicking of relays and the click of the fuel solenoid. It almost appears that there is a malfunction in a timer somewhere. I have removed and checked the solenoid and appears functional. The relay to the solenoid was tested and passes. All of the safety interlocks appear to work as needed. Not certain where to go from here.
