B3200 replacing 7510/7610? or 7800?

Confusion abounds....somewhere at least.

My local dealership (just stopped by there) said the 7800 isn't going anywhere, 75/7610 are being replaced by the 3200. The other b series mentioned were introduced as upgrades to their former models alone.

Of course, he could be talking out of his........

Well, some of us have given you the 'skinny' on what Kubota is doing with these models. Unfortunately, this particular dealer doesn't seem to know the 'skinny'.

I personally would not buy from that dealer. But then, I have issues with un-informed salesmen that spew BS as soon as they open their mouths. I often find that I know more than the salesman does, as I do a lot of research before even walking in the door. But I can't stand the salesman that very authoritatively pronounces the BS as "facts", when he is dead wrong.

How hard is it to know what the heck it is that you are selling? Too many tractor salesmen and auto salesmen just don't know and don't care. And yes, I've spent some time selling over the years. A good salesman knows the product they're selling, and when being asked a question that they don't know the answer to, instead of opening their mouth and blurting out a lie as a lousy salesman does, they tell you something like "I'm not sure, let me look into that and get back to you with the answer".

There are good salemen out there, so reward the dealerships that care enough to hire good salesmen and give them your business. If the dealership doesn't care to put the best folks on the front lines, then what type of people do they have working throughout the rest of the facility that you will have to eventually deal with?

Yeah, your dealer is a little confused. The 3200 has the longer wheelbase of the 7800. I really like (at least in concept, since i haven't actually seen one in person) the 3200, as it addressed most of the little things about the 7800 that didn't thrill me ...... such as putting the loader valve at your right thigh.

One thing I did before buying my tractor was to find something that I needed at each dealer that I was considering, and buy it through the parts folks there. I acted like I didn't know much about what I was buying, and the various responses were pretty interesting, and echoed the general feeling I had gotten about the dealerships in the first place. For example, I bought a new chain for my chain saw at one dealership that sold the brand I had. I just gave them the model number, and bar length of the saw I had, and the parts guy kind of chewed me out because I hadn't brought the saw in so he could check to see if he had the right chain.............. Not sure I want that guy getting tractor parts for me!

I agree that a salesman that speaks BS in the first sentance is better left for dead.

When I first went to the dealership it was because I had been a customer of this particular salesman when he was in the insurance industry. I had a lot of respect for him because he knew what ethics were. He also knew the importance of knowing his products.

Any "sale" he made to me was based on asking questions, finding out what my needs were and finding the right product that met those needs. He did that exact thing when it came to my tractor and I couldn't be happier (with the exception of getting a B3200:D).

Sure he could have sold me a lot more and "found" the financing to make it appealing- but he didn't. (my wife appreciates that):p

So, as I continue my search....I'll also have to figure in a trailer to haul it back with me:)

That has always been available since the introduction of the B-7800!

Of course it has always been available, and though I've never seen one set up that way, I'm sure that at least 10% of the people that sell them know about it.

Edit: Art, I don't mean to sound sarcastic at all, it's just that these are the kind of things that send buyers to other brands. I know at least one guy that bought a JD because he didn't like the location of the joystick on the Kubotas. If buyers aren't aware of these options, they don't exist for practical purposes.

Looking at the B3200 on the Kubota website... there is a photo of it with a backhoe that has a thumb on it. And I think all the new B series have the swivel seat for the backhoe not just the B3200.
