B3350 REGEN PROBLEMS & FIX

Do you have a copy of it you can share?? I am finding it impossible to get a copy as the two local dealerships are trying to charge me for a DPF and the reformer saying warranty is expired.

That is crazy! Everyone and their brother knows the B3350 fiasco, and lifetime emissions warranty.

Right!? I had it brought in last year because it would not finish a regen when it wanted to actually start one, over two hours in regen at points, they cleared the code and said warranty was expired. Thats when I saw this bulletin, 20 hours later the thing won’t run without the alarm, and that only started after the first park regen actually completed… which took 45 mins. Went back Wednesday, and they delivered it back to me Thursday saying dpf and reformer are not in warranty, that it expired in 2020.

There is no lifetime emission warranty on any tractor.
The B3350 has a lifetime reformer warranty, which is a huge difference.

Very difficult to speak to Kubota regional service representatives as neither Kubota nor (especially) dealers allow such.

Accordingly, your only recourse is to contact Kubota Customer Satisfaction. Contact information is in your warranty book.

I've BTDT regarding a B3350 that I recently sold and found it much more effective to write letters than to try to use the telephone.

Several years ago, you could call a dealer and get a hold of the local Service Rep. There were issues with customers calling multiple people in Kubota, Kubota not documenting all the contacts, etc. that were creating some major "he-said-she-said" issues. Since that time, they have requested all inquires go into the "Kubota Hotline" and get documented and routed from there. They still have the Service Reps (in fact, more now) that can/will assist dealers and talk to customers, there is just a little more complex (but better documented) system from reaching out to them. This system (according to Kubota) not only increased documentation / decreases miscommunication but also allows Kubota to do a better job of tracking, identifying, and finding solutions to technical issues with the product. Long and short, you can still talk to Kubota Reps if needed, but Kubota will try to work directly with the dealer to resolve the issue first.

Dear Orange Friends. Newbie here. WAS a huge Orange fan late 90's early 2000s with 6 for commercial use. Retiring soon and was looking to restart. Research tech needs, width, lift, hp needed. I made a HUGE mistake and did not research "B3350 problems". I purchased a used 2016 with 124hrs. No delivery yet.
My question is, does the purchase of the "fix kit" work ? I understand the issues with doing it from a resell and other concerns, I do, may never sell it anyways.
I do not have time as a contractor for regen every couple of hours. PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW THIS CAN OR WONT WORK. If need be, DM me.

The issue with the 3350 is the 'Reformer' and there is no easy fix to the issue. In fact, my Kubota dealer has 2 of them that are unused that he will not sell in good faith to any customer. He told me that Kubota also used the 'reformer' engine in some F series front mount mowers and he has one for personal use and he told me the only way to keep it running properly was to run it extremely hard and get the engine up to full operating temperature and keep it there when running it. Don't know all the aspects of the reformer engine but I do know that Kubota made a mistake with it and quit making it almost as fast as it was sold to the public.
