Team of experts!

Love my 2015 model Kubota B3350SU, hate the issues I am having with regen. Read on if you think you can help...

I dropped this question into another thread on tips and tricks, but it was getting buried, so I wanted to start this separately.

Symptom: During normal operation, the yellow regen light comes on, the tractor is at full throttle and if I use the tractor to do anything "heavy load" it immediately dies and will not crank at all. (crank inhibit it appears) At that point the regen light on the dash will flash and the key does nothing (engine/oil/batt lights all on). I can walk away for 20-30 minutes and come back and it will start right up and the regen light will be solid. I use the tractor normally and the light goes out. The tractor operates normal after that.

The manual says its supposed to buzz or beep and then flash before cutoff, but it never makes a sound. When the regen light comes on I try to let it sit and "park regen" but it does not seem to do that. So I usually just drive it around until the light goes out. When I operate the tractor I always, always run it full throttle ESPECIALLY if the regen light is on. I only idle it down when I need to get off for a sec or before I shut it off.

Tractor has only 100 hours on it and it regens every 30 hours or so (more when brushcutting).

Any ideas? My dealer says I am crazy because it starts back up.

Thanks,
Randy

Your dealer should be well aware of B3350 regen issues, if they are not have them call Kubota. I believe there are computer updates that address the issue (for SOME people).

Randy, my B3350 died in the middle of a icy road. I had to tow it back. That was my first exposure to regen. 3 times back to dealer for revisions. They have a 2 inch 3 ring binder on my tractor. Mine died once last fall when I was just towing a chipper and went to move to another location. I had to wait like an hour and then the key would let it turn over ( computer crap). I have an early b3350 and recommend you push your dealer into learning more about them. I could photo the pages of my " book" at the dealer ( I think , they'd let me ) and email to you. PM me if interested. Maybe they would help your dealer?
I get my serial number tomorrow .

True. In fact the bulletin was updated within the last few weeks. Make sure your dealer is current on this issue.

Thanks guys. PM sent to Rob Any chance you guys have the bulletin number? I live in a small town and the only dealer is run by two guys who are pretty much farm boys. They do a great job wrenching but if its a computer thing I get the blank stare. I could trailer it to the next closest dealer but that's almost an hour each way of towing. I would love to see a resolution on this.

I was all set to get a 3350 until I read about the regen issues on here. It didn't take long to kill that idea. I found a 2650 and have been very happy with my decision.

Your good ole boys can see if the local Kubota service rep can point them in the right direction. There are resources.

My brother bought a 3350 cab model 5 years ago nothing but trouble the whole while he has owned it. The dealer has had it for about a month now because of hard starting problems. The regen has been trouble since new. The dealer said Kubota will put in a new engine and warranty it for five years or give him a new 2650 to replace it. The dealer told him to take the 2650 looks like that is what he is going to do. From day one his dealer has been great so he trusts them.

I stopped by my dealer and photoed my service bulletins. The most recent sb is about the rear axle leaking. My serial number is 50512. 4106C559-98D9-492D-9A3A-CADBA74D6AAD.jpegDB63F457-E054-43A7-B44A-5F5772D39A4C.jpeg0267A6D0-93F5-44F3-ABDC-B330182ED7A4.jpegF9AB86AC-E63E-4935-9DFB-D1486DF3F902.jpeg503A4562-943B-4B36-A270-BD4C9EC179D8.jpeg1FB745B2-A6AB-4810-ACDA-4FBE20829169.jpegBEBE15FE-4964-4D01-8A68-234F865BA50B.jpeg8208A65C-4ABF-4736-B025-D0438F7D7DE5.jpegCD119146-640C-4937-BCAB-C40395D01AAF.jpeg49674734-A51A-4B0E-8BE5-E42833E08D46.jpeg
