B6000 Dynamo question

For what they want for this dynamo, I'd agree it is best to just throw a charger on your battery. If that is marginal, add a second battery box somewhere. You would still be hundreds of dollars ahead.

What he said. It's been awhile, but I bought a ring and pinion from them for my B6000.

Try e-bay. There is an alternator for sale now for $96.95 that they say fits a B6000. Good luck.

I saw that ... they list a bunch of tractors. I think this is more of a COULD fit... like if you were doing an alternator conversion. No bracket, no belt, no instructions, no info on what it is rated at... just an alternator when you really need a conversion kit.

appreciate the lead. there is a complete b6000 on e-bay with a high bid of 400. something ! looks like she's been rode hard and put up wet.

going to wait and see if wengers can find anything.

but on another note - anybody want to trade a 3pt. snowblower, 50 inches or smaller, preferabally a 46, or 48 for a 1.26 cttw single diamond ring ?!?!?!?!!?

super nice ring set in 14k white gold. with emerald side stones. ring is worth more than a snowblower, but the ring won't get me out to the road this winter at 5am.

if anybody is interested in the ring, i will sell it outright as well. i have detailed photos.

Trying to find a direct replacement certainly makes sense as your "A Plan." But based on the prices you're getting, if it were me, I'd be looking into what it would take to do a conversion. By some responses here, it doesn't look too difficult (but then I'm a gearhead). I'll bet some of those who have done it would be willing to give you the details you need.

On a different note...been a long-time Ralph Stanley fan...

Not sure if this is too late, but I have a B6000 Dynamo. I have two B6000E's.

I have complete manuals, etc. One has loader and hoe and the other has reverse spinning finish mower (3 point) and original reverse spinning tiller. I've also got a hub city reverser.

I will confirm, for certain, no water pump, Thermo syphon, and never had a single issue with heat. I've got a heat gun, never shot over 135 or so degrees on the block.

If you are in need of the dynamo drop a note, I am confident we can work something out. Family originally from Fort Kent Maine, my dad just donated the old family home to the Maine Historic Society as a Musuem. Want to take care of fellow mainer's
