Rick, Indeed thats not bad for a 20 year old tractor.
I'm not sure of the weather climate in which you live,but up here where the temps drop -0 degress or better 50% of the times,my dealer said to us a light grease on the tractor and front end loader do to the coldness, just little something that I would pass on.
I would be most interested in your out come.

I have the same problem (i think) with my six year old B2150. With mine, if you take your foot off the pedal it does not quite return all the way to neutral position. Is this what is happening with yours? I also have the same setup as far as what the pedal is attached to, and what appears to control the pedals movement back to neutral. I don't have any manuals, so I can't be of any help to you, though I am very interested in how you solve the problem.
I have learned to live with it for now, and have developed a feel for using (tapping) reverse to stop. My guess is that replacing the thing inside that rubber boot is the way to fix it, I could not see any way to adjust mine. Good luck and let us know how you fix it!

Rick, follow your linkage thru to where it goes into the trans. There will be a bolt head and a washer with arrows there loosen with the rear jacked up and center the bolt and then retighten.
