I hit a snag....
I can not get the assembly to go down far enough in the steering box to bolt it in. Been trying to figure it out for 3 hours! Every new part I have is the exact kubota replacement
I put the bearings in bottom of steering case they fit right in the hole in the bottom then I put the race
Next put the other bearing on the top with race on top of that slides down shaft and fits into groove but I can't get it to go down all the way
Gotta give up for the night:... Maybe someone knows the trick to getting it back together or can give me some good advice
Thnks

Hi all,
I have a Kubota B 7000 4x4 diesel with a manual gearbox that has the same steering problem as the author. Mechanic can get a box that the bearings run in for 900 aud but the steering shaft is badly pitted and he thinks a repair won't last. Shaft is a discontinued item.
I see steering boxes online for B7100's reasonably priced so my question is whether B7000 and B7100 steering boxes are interchangeable?
Thanks
Ian

This is an old thread so not sure who may be still around with accurate answers. From what I see the B7000 does look like the B6100 & B7100 models but has 2 cylinders instead of 3, no idea if any parts will swap. The site below seems to have some used B7000 parts but not sure if they'd ship outside the US. Looking on the forum, there's very little concrete info on these units.

I did find these posts on another site, maybe they'll be helpful.
